It’s a tad annoying to mark this in relationship to the pandemic, but almost everything in the past two years seems to be anchored in this way. In late February 2020, the drumbeat of the pandemic was getting louder. It was before the time of the shutdown in March 2020, masking, social distancing and all the rest, but I had started to stock up on groceries and do some other things “just in case”. We also were starting to take more walks in my household, which has mostly continued throughout the pandemic. During a walk to and over a bridge over the Mississippi River, I saw several lost things. Given the way they were displayed, the phrase “lost things looking to be found” popped into my head, since these items looked as though they were desperately trying to be found by the correct person/owner. Not all lost things look this way, so that will not be a criteria for including pictures here.
I captured that first instance here and for a long time my intention was to capture and document these images in my photo blog. I haven’t followed through on that, but I also wanted to keep this idea going. Viola. Here is a new blog for just that purpose.
This was taken during a walk along Minnehaha Creek down to the river. Even though it was a very dry year, I was still surprised by how low the water was in the creek.
